I just really want to win a playoff series. There would be no shame in losing a hard fought NLCS to either the heavy favorite Cubs or the 3x champion Giants but at some point we gotta at least win a playoff series. A DC team hasn't made the Final Four of their sport since 1998 either.

I got dodgers in 4 with Roark winning the only game for the nats. I don't like the pitching matchups at all. It goes 5 in a coin flip game only if Scherzer can shut the dodgers out today. There will be no room for error vs kershaw.

do you give Gio a shot against Maeda? That may be the game where Dusty has a chance to drop the "he's good for the season but cannot do the playoff tactics right" label.

I like Ross/Lopez more than Gio. If Roark wins today and either Ross/Lopez or Gio steps up the nats make it to the loser leaves town game and hope Scherzer is better and Kershaw is more shaky, but that's asking for a lot imho.

Ok, here is how it will go down........our Nats will take today's game behind a 5 for 5 performance by Espinosa. In LA tomorrow, Gio will throw a perfect game. To close it out in game four Bryce will hit four homers on four pitches and Dusty, pinch hitting himself, will drive in the winning run on a drag bunt single.
