Time to bump the search for the white whale thread?

Can Trea play CF or do we need to trade for Melvin?

Yeah, I want 2014 Span back. Not the injury plagued one.

2005 was horrible, you're right about that.

Out them in a room with Revere and Espinosa (with bats) and lock the door.  Nobody leaves until the entire SSS has been hit at least once.  It'd take until December, which would be long enough to solve many problems.

As it should be for die hard fans of a winning team

There is no way this team can win a playoff series with Gio Gonzalez as the #3 starter. No chance.

Strasburg to the DL today.

Strasburg to the DL today.

Per Joel Sherman, it's "inflammation" and a source says if it were the playoffs, Stras would pitch thru it, but since there's time left in the season, the team wants to give him a proactive DL stint so he will be ready when it counts most.

That's hilarious.  How many of you actually believe this club would have Stras pitch through elbow inflammation in any other circumstance?

That's just PR hoo-ha.

If there was any doubt about his ability to pitch at a later date, he'd go on the DL in 100% of these circumstances.

I am always skeptical. And think the worst. Then is he is healthy I will be pleasantly surprised.

Another disappointment on the horizon.

A late-summer, early-fall collapse by the Nationals: a tradition unlike any other.

Something must be wrong with Giolito otherwise they would have called him up before Cole.

Marlins are still making moves. They see the Nats crapting the bed. Again.

Welp, here we are again. Same problems as last year. crappy pen. Questionable starting pitching. Shortstop who swings at everything. Werth and Zimmerman simply counting down time (and paychecks) until they can go on the DL.

The struggle for .500 is real.

Since Slate is full-SSS now, I'd like to remember who started this damn thread.
