The best and brightest are 2nd teamers:

Calloway made headlines before arriving at Alabama—and shortly after. He committed to the Crimson Tide, then switched to rival Auburn and then signed with Alabama on national signing day. He was arrested in October 2011 on charges of second-degree marijuana possession.

Listed as a running back/tight on the Alabama roster, Calloway carried the ball 10 times for 63 yards last season as a sophomore and also recorded eight tackles on special teams.

Williams was a 5-star recruit out of Arnold High School in Panama City, Fla., and freshman defensive back on last year’s team. He did not play.

Pettway was a redshirt freshman defensive lineman last season and saw action in 13 games. He recorded eight tackles, including four tackles for loss and 2½ sacks.

Hayes was a freshman linebacker from Thomasville (Ala.) and also played in 13 games and totaled 14 tackles.
