I likes my 5 tool atha- letes.  As much as AGED (Adrian Gonzalez Except Defensively) fascinates me, I went with Goodwin for the tools.  I feel so Baseball America-ish.  I've betrayed my sabr roots.

Goodwin as well. Most potential of the remaining guys in the system.

I went with Marrero because of his production at AAA. He doesn't have the potential of Goodwin, but AAA production like his is hard to ignore.

I went with Goodwin as well.  My knowledge of him probably ranks lowest of any other player that will make the top 30, but based on what I have read about him he would seem to fit in right around here.  I like the production Marrero has put up through his career and especially this year.  He is still young for the league he is in and has been improving at first over the last few years.  I also considered Lombardozzi.  The kid does everything and could be a solid major leaguer one day, but the potential of Goodwin and his shiny new supplemental pick status get him the 9 spot for me.

I went with Lombo. Since scouts don't give him the credit he deserves I think we should.

if you're going by who has the highest ceiling, it has to be Goodwin. But he also comes with a high bust potential (since he has yet to play a professional game)

Staying with the big kid who hits the ball really hard. Speed is nice, but a high average slugger is better IMHO

Agreed, and it's not even close.

Gotta be Marrero here. The numbers he's putting up at AAA at his age cannot be overlooked.

I've voted Marrero for a couple rounds now. There is something to be said about a legit 1B prospect in AAA.

I voted Marrero again.

Off topic: Its pretty much a given that Marrero, Lombardozzi, and Peacock/Milone are going to be the Spetember call ups, right?

This was my third Marrero vote, too, though not consecutively. Goodwin will surely round out the top 10, and then although we could use an influx of 4-5 new names on the list* my ballot will probably feature Solis, Ray, then Lombardozzi...

*the debate on Milone will be really interesting.

Komatsu isnt top 10 in a depleted Milwaukee system, let alone our deep system.

Komatsu isnt top 10 in a depleted Milwaukee system, let alone our deep system.
Here's what BA says about Komatsu:

Quote
Erik Komatsu, cf/rf
Age: 23. Position: CF (50 G), RF (38 G).
Born: Oct. 1, 1987 in Camarillo, Calif.
Ht.: 5-10. Wt.: 175. Bats: L. Throws: L.
School: Cal State Fullerton.
Career Transactions: Selected by Brewers in eighth round of 2008 draft; signed June 16, 2008.

Club (League)    Class    AVG    G    AB    R    H    2B    3B    HR    RBI    BB    SO    SB    OBP    SLG
Huntsville (SL)    AA    .294    93    320    48    94    19    1    6    40    53    44    13    .393    .416

Komatsu's best attribute is his plate discipline, which is among the best in the minors. He's collected more walks than strikeouts this year, showing the ability to work deep counts and lay off pitches outside the zone. His quick, line-drive swing and advanced approach at the plate help him hit for a high average and get on base at a strong clip. He ranks fifth in the Southern League in walks (53) and on-base percentage (.393). The questions for Komatsu are the typical tweener profile issues: Will his defense be enough for center field, and will he have enough power for a corner outfield spot? His speed is a tick above-average and he gets good jumps off the bat, but he doesn't have the pure range to stack up against most regular big league center fielders. At 5-foot-10, Komatsu has below-average power, a difficult tool to live with from a corner outfielder and a reason why his OBP could take a tumble as more advanced pitchers attack him with greater aggression. Still, the Nationals did well to turn Hairston into a player with some on-base skills who will almost certainly be a big leaguer in some capacity, though his ultimate role might be as a solid backup.

Since we are looking for a guy with leadoff qualities, and this guy has been called no worse than a 4th outfielder, he belongs on a list of the next 10 or so guys for consideration in prospect rating.

He does not belong on a top 10 prospect list for a team that ranks as one of the top 5-8 in all of baseball.

Im well aware of what Komatsu is and what he's all about. Ive seen him play in person at CS Fullerton. I thought he was a solid pickup for Hairston, but that doesn't mean he profiles as a top ten prospect.

Agreed he's not going to get votes for #10.  Goodwin got my vote.  He probably will not get my vote for ##11 o 12 either.  But who would be the next 3 or 4 you'd add to the ballot after Goodwin is gone?

Off the top of my head, if Goodwin is 10,you have Ray, Lombo, Taylor, Keyes, Solis, Milone, and Moore before Komatsu. Id probably include guys like Turnbull and Skole before Komatsu as well, knowing that they project better. I think Walter ranks higher than Komatsu, based on the new additions. Komatsu's upside is as a top reserve. Not the type of thing you rank very highly on prospect rankings.
