I think the only reason H-Rod is still on the roster is because he could be dangled in a trade to a team WAY out of contention that could take the time to develop him.
He could work on the Astros, for example.

There's no chance Greinke pitches against us.  He'll be long gone by then.  And Wolf stinks.
How funny would it be if Greinke was traded to us and had to pitch against them this weekend :lmao: Won't happen but would be awesome.

Fiers and Gallardo are pretty good. We need Edwin and Ross to have good starts again.

You shouldn't ever have to play the match-up game when you enter the 8th inning up four runs.

when you have a GM who has his boys, yes you do.

Understood. Not to borrow too much from Godfather speak, but this is not personal, just business. Professional ballplayers, particularly major league players, are supposed to possess actual baseball talent. Henry is in a similar category as Daniel Cabrera in that regard. Just a guy who shouldn't be there. While I don't feel sorry for him, I will say it isn't fair to him. They are trying to make him something he is not. It reminds me of the Manute Bol experiment. Being tall doesn't make a guy a basketball player. Throwing a ball fast doesn't make a pitcher.
Great analogies there.

And given Davey learned a lot of Earl, it wouldn't surprise me if that isn't one of those lessons.

Clippard sucked against the Mets the first time.

Now all of a sudden he magically comes to form when we go play in New York?

I don't get this dude lol.

And you're totally right, i am not for a second disputing whether he should be on the roster or not.

in the end he should be gone and i wish him no ill, i'm sure you are the same.

You have to have a GM who doesn't have a complex about having to be right.
