SNELLING FOR LANGERHANS, WTF? sounds like a steal no? Langerhans is good right?
A steal?? Langerhans is hitting .063 in 48 at bats this season.  He's a career .241 hitter in the big leagues.

Yeah, Clint Everts was pitching...the Warthogs bunted a slow roller along the third base line...P-Nats third baseman overthrew the throw to first...ended up in right field.  The ball just sat there along the right field line for a while - Nobody got to it...finally the right fielder grabbed it then overthrew the play to third...The guy trotted across home with an infield bunt home run.  How pathetic is that...

Are you thinking about laroche?
This is weird. Langerhans just got traded from the Braves to the A's and now he gets traded to the Nats. When he got traded to the A's I remember thinking about that play that cost them the game in Atlanta last season on Nick Johnson's tapper back to first.

But I believe Langerhans has some sort of Attention Deficit Dysorder which was one reason cited for his bone head play against us last season.

How did Everts look tonight?
Everts looked fine...they ended up losing 6-3.  But the runs were all due to errors...not by the pitcher.  They had 4 errors total tonight.   :?

The only thing that I know is that Langerhans' career numbers SUCK.  .241 avg, .335 obp, 93 BB, 190 Ks in 704 career ABs.  Ah ****, Hensley is leaving the game.  Now we have to face the best bullpen in baseball for 8 innings.

Still, I guess we have to give Langerhans a chance to get out of his funk and see if he can produce.

He plays 1B also correct?  If so, he will be more valuable to us than Snelling.

Anyway, is my memory off on thinking Abercrombie rounded the bases on a bunt against us last season?

What year is this for Langerhans for in the Bigs? His third right? I know he was somewhat inconsistant last year, but the year before he was really something ... perhaps a change of scenery will do him good ...

Langerhans BA this season so far shouldn't mean much. It is odd since he was just traded to the A's. I have to assume that this works out well because of the respective experience in the other leagues. Langerhans is flexible in the OF as well.

Just the Nats' luck, they finally face a pitcher that is actually hittable and he leaves the game injured in the 2nd inning.  Now they have to face the toughest bullpen in baseball for 8 innings.

And of course, today is the last game of the series, so they won't get to face a "depleted" bullpen in a game tomorrow night ... sigh ... heavy, heavy sigh ...

Does Langerhans have "options".  Maybe instead of trying to slide Snelling through waivers we got a guy who doesnt need to clear?  I just assumed the guy was alright since he was on some good braves teams
