The city is starved for a winner. If Harper leads us to a ring, he'll get a statue and will never be as loved in any other city.

Kansas City and Cleveland say hi for cities. Baseball-wise he could become a living legend here.

Did you hear that his Pops throws him pebbles with a fan behind him.  He has to try to hit them with a BROOM STICK!

Actually, it was fruity pebbles, but we don't use that word anymore.

What?    Are they now referred to as rounded rock fragments?

Over hyped may be a better explanation. Because he is supposed to be the next Mickey Mantle people expect Mickey Mantle's '56 season yesterday. Unless he ends his career as a all-time great, he'll be considered overrated. Sadly, it is what it is.

So he'd be overrated for his entire career then, at the end of his career, not be?

What? I'm saying, he'll always be considered overrated unless he ends up with an all-time great caliber career. Anything less than that will constitute a bust to the dumbasses that are already calling him overrated.

Over hyped is definitely what it is. I think that halfway through his career, we will know who he is whether it be the second coming of Mickey Mantle, better than Mantle, or just a really good baseball player.

In a way Trout just made him look over hyped by comparison. Harper was the number one overall will all kinds of attention (remember the documentary or the chosen one si cover?), but someone basically the same age has been out performing him.

His original stance, the one he's been working on since he was like 5, seemed to work fine when healthy

Harper's said repeatedly in interviews that his knee injury changed his swing last year because he had to "cheat" to catch up to pitches

So I'm assuming he's back to his old swing because he's not injured anymore
