Let's see.  If Wilson stays at 2nd and Guzman, just being himself, strikes out.  It's two outs and we're still in the inning.

Of course, the pitcher is coming up so we'll probably not score but at least we get the pitcher out of the way, instead of starting the next inning with a guaranteed out.

Geez...

Because we suck.  What's worst is we have almost no chance of hitting the ball out of RFK, our own home park!

No reason for THAT kinda talk.    Commentary on blown plays are fine...but let's just not say:  "We suck"  sheesh!

Last 9+ games at RFK:  Nats= 1 HR
Last 12 innings at RFK: Dodgers= 5 HR

If that isn't a key indicator of sucking, I don't know what is

I wouldn't call a team that is 2 games back of the NL wild card and in 2nd place in the NL East sucking.  Sorry.

Give us time.  We'll be well out of playoff contention soon enough.

As I stated previously...there's nothing wrong with posting something negative about a specific play that we screwed up on...but I don't want people to make blanket statements like: the season's over...or we suck...or we're losers...that kinda crap.

We just lost this game.

The Dodgers hit a homerun and we are three up, three down in about a minute and a half.

PC, get off the board if you're going to have this defeatist attitude.  It's not needed here.

First, this isn't your board, so I'm not going anywhere.

And I'm not defeatist in the slightest.  I'm just extremely realistic.

No, it's not my board, but I think I speak for a few people here who don't want to see constant negativity when the Nats aren't doing well and an overwhelming sense of "The world is going to blow up if the Nats lose again."  Yes, it's frustrating, but jeez, we're not the Devil Rays.

Well, let's not get punchy with each other here.  I too share the same sinking feeling as PC, but I agree that it's not constructive to CONTINUALLY harp on it.  I don't think there's anything wrong with expressing your opinion, but if it's "we're doomed!" then etiquette demands that you not hammer on that endlessly.   Because it just depresses others.
