Ugh, bakery this morning was out of everything and Safeway was filled with middle aged men and confused teenagers, fortunately the baked goods were still warm from the oven

I told my son the other day (he's in Richmond) that Sunday is Mother's Day.   Do something  ...   I have my doubts he has a clue.   He'll probably call around 6 PM on his way out the door to somewhere really important.   I'd give almost anything to tell my mother, "Happy Mother's Day".   I'd also like to have the opportunity to have my dad call me a smartass one more time.

I was at my folk's house yesterday. Before I left I gave my Mom a big hug and kiss and told her Happy Mother's Day. Gonna give her a call in a little bit. I sent my wife to "work" for a bit. The boy and I are gonna watch the game. She'll be at the office all by herself for a little bit. Sometimes that's as good a gift as any.

I cooked buttermilk biscuits and sausage this morning.  Also did a rotisserie grilled chicken last nigh which became a much delayed baked chicken when I ran out of propane.
