I don't understand why everyone on here is so down on the pirates. They have a better record than us.

Their line-up is better than ours.

I'm not. The Pirates are a better team than us especially when healthy.

They're definitely not the pirates of the past, but they certainly aren't 8 runs in 2 innings good.

Well we picked Zimmerman instead of him that year. Zimm makes an immediate impact helping the club instantly, while McCutchen spends years in the minors while his club is even worse than us at the time. That's why rebuilding teams need college draft picks.
