haynesworth will shelve his diva personality and excel in new england.

mcnabb will take the vikings to the playoffs.

Campbell will have a good year in Oakland.

the redskins will still be fussing about who is the QB of the future.

I hate the Patriots but Vince Wilfork is the freaking man.
and your twin ;)  You should aspire to look like Matt Light, especially after his "Queer Eye" episode.

If he has facial hair that automatically disqualifies me.  Chest hair, yes.  Facial hair, no.  :P

So they got two fifth rounder picks and a sixth round pick for McNabb and Haynesworth. Lololololol. Come on, seriously? That's the best they could do? Admittedly Haynesworth, we are lucky any team would take him, but given the right fit, he's still got talent. It seems comical to me they basically dumped these players for nothing. Two fives and a six equals maybe one average player at best to come out of it. This is why the team sucks, and will continue to suck.

The fact that they got antyhing at all is a small miracle. Nobody will argue that acquiring those two was a huge mistake- catastrophic for the franchise, either. But today, it's good they got something back from them.

Can somebody tell me about these undrafted FA's: QB Ben Chappell, RB Shaun Draughn, OL Willie Smith. All three were signed by the Redskins today.

The redskins brain trust - turning a second and 3rd or 4th into 6th and a conditional 6th in just one year

Some news today: The Skins traded Vonnie Holliday and a conditional late round pick next year to the Cardinals for Tim Hightower, per Rotoworld. Also, the Skins re-signed Jamaal Brown for 5 years.

Glad about Brown, he improved as the season wore on and RT is one less thing to worry about.

Don't really know why they got Hightower, but the price wasn't very steep- it opens a spot for a rookie in rotation. Shanahan is really overhauling the line- only returning players from last year are Anthony Bryant and Adam Carriker.

I still hope we're in the talks for Ahmad Bradshaw too. I also like the Brown signing.

Oh, and Sav Rocca is the new punter. He's not bad, either- a pretty huge improvement. When your offense is as bad as the Skins' will be, it's important to have a good punter (a la the Raiders and Lechler- didn't help them too much though).

With this franchise a good punter ends up being team MVP.

Helu is looking pretty good from what I hear. I'd bet he'll end up the starter by December. I'm not sure about Paul, but Gomes is getting work in at safety. If Gomes shows anything there, he'll probably make the roster. If Paul does, it'll be via special teams.

I know it's early and all, but I really like Helu. I think he could be Shanny's next Portis. The Denver 5.5ypc Portis mind you, not the Skins Portis. Torrain is hurt again so I really think he ends up the starter.

Why isnt Ryan Torain or Mike Sellars on the depth chart they just put out??

Mike Sellars is on it, but only as the 4th string TE.  Torain isnt on it at all.

Haven't heard much about Royster. Torrain is hurt, but still #1 on the depth chart with Hightower #2 and Helu #3. Mike Sellars is taking snaps at tightend which doesn't bode well for him considering the depth the Skins have at TE. They really like Darrel Young at FB.

converted LBers usually make good blocking backs and are faster than most true FBs

Mike Seller has been a joke for years. And I laugh at him at TE. He drops a lot of passes out of the backfield. It's time to cut that dinosaur.

This post was true back in 2006 but since Gibbs had a Flintstone's era offense a dinosaur fit right in.
