freaking Boone. Takes 2 fastballs right down the pipe and then chases a slider way in the dirt. Good to see that he fooled us all with his hot week or two.

THAT is why I LOVE the A's. I've really started following them closely this year. Beane is an awesome GM that will rip his team apart when they aren't performing. I love it, and that current team is a bunch of no-names that BATTLES every day. Young team with a bright future and playing great right now, complete opposite of us.
Definitely. They are young and exciting and they even win their share of games.

We are a bunch of boring, listless, losers who are satisfied with mediocrity.

Mediocrity? crap, they're all happy to take  their paycheck and go home. And when the media asks about the game, they just use one of their pre-written excuses:

"It was a great pitcher"
"It's still early, I'm getting a feel for things"
"Rough day, we're still improving"
"They're developing, Lenny is working hard to make us better"

QFT. I'm fed up with the lame excuses.

I think Manny' at this point has probably got his lines for the post game press conference now printed on flash cards.

I believe so too.

"You have to give all the credit to (Starting Pitcher that owned us). He is so tough against everyone, not just us.  We battled hard but we came up just short. Oh well, we'll get 'em tomorrow."

You guys were talking about the A's earlier, so I was looking up some of their past teams. Look at their 2002 stats. If you only looked at their offensive numbers, it'd be almost impossible to believe that they won 103 games that season. But then you see the pitching stats and

Watch out people...Here comes a massive string of homers from our dangerous lineup, the snakes better be careful if they know what's good for them!

Believe it or not, we're not even the worst so far THIS season.

Mackowiak is now 1/18 with 7 Ks as a pinch hitter. He must have a picture of Bowden banging Kasten's wife or something.  :?

Good swing, Felipe. Oh wait, he took a fastball right down the middle for strike 3. Never mind.

Manning walks a pitcher to lead off the inning. That alone should warrant an instant demotion.

Boone is mailing it in. Hahah, his average is down to .273.  It was like .350 not too long ago.

I'll have to lower my expectations and pray the Nats can win 1 game in a row so I can take this bad off my head :?

Yeah, I don't think they'll win 3 in a row for a long time, if at all for the rest of the season.
