He's sticking around then. Riggs is starting to trust him. Nice.
This from the guy with 28000 posts?
I concur. Atilano STAYS. Stammen...say HI to Syracuse.
I am SO IMPRESSED with Atilano. This is the 2nd best performance by a Nationals starter, this year.
for popping out to the first baseman who dropped it?
Really? Olsen's almost no-hitterOlsen's 7 K afternoon gameLivan's CG shutout
This guy can pitch. I've always said that. He's a real prospect. Stammen can't cut it.
Really? Olsen's almost no-hitter
For working an 0-2 count to 3-2, putting a good pitch into play, and hustling despite breaking his bat to ensure the run would count.
It's all in his head. He's got the tools and has selective grittyness. Stammen get's one more chance tomorrow which will be a big challenge for him. Otherwise, I think it'll be Martin who goes down.
7.1 of no hit pitching is not exactly "almost no-hitter". Ramon Ortiz performance qualifies as an almost no hitter but I don't believe Olsen's does. He ended up yielding 2 hits and 2 ER.
Martin's two starts:11.2 IP9 K: 1 BB12 H3 ER4.44 ERA last year in 15 startsI don't know, I'd like to see what Martin can do with a couple more starts.
Anybody else just see Fatass West giving Nieves the condescending two-finger "come on let's go" wag?
