Alesmith IPA out of San Diego.  Which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

There is a nice dark beer on tap at the Red Porch we have been enjoying this week.  It's a porter or stoudt called Peg Leg

It takes about 2 weeks for a person to discover why they call it "Peg Leg".    :)

In the close to macro category, I like modelo in cans.  Very solid.  Dos equis is also really good.  The amber I think.  Green bottle

I love Dos Equis so long as it is the amber in brown bottles.  The lager is in the green cans.  It could be a mental thing but I really dislike almost any green bottled beer (rolling rock, moosehead, XX lager, Heineken, Beck's, etc).

Went to south-central PA this past weekend and hit up three different micro-breweries/pubs: Lancaster (their Harrisburg location), Selin's Grove, and Stoudt's.  All three were very good, but Selin's Grove takes the cake.  They had one of the better oatmeal stouts I've had.  It's especially good if you like sweetness.

And today, I'm totally ready for a fantasy football draft tonight:

(Also have a pack of Sierra Nevada Autumn Tumbler in the fridge)

MMMM, punkin...

Should I keep staring at rows of data that are making me blind or should I go fill my growler with pumpkin beer and drain it in one gulp?  WWJD?

pumkin or oktoberfest? I love pumkin beers- dogfish head is the best in my opinion, oktoberfest, not so much, I have the Brooklyn now and it's a good beer, but nothing I would go out of my way to obtain

Black Squirrel has a lot of unusual small batch local (and not so local) craft pumpkins in the fall.  I really can't recall having a bad one.
