Found a pale ale (ish) beer in Budapest...probably the hoppiest beer in central Europe.  I'll try to write down the name before the label reverts to a random mess of letters.  Most other beers around here are light Czech-style pilseners (which I like, but the real hopheads would probably be disappointed).

Things are definitely moving in Central Europe.  Just back from a trip.  Found some excellent craft beers in Warsaw and Berlin:  IPAs, Porters, Pale Ales, even a Polish Pumpkin Ale.  The days of King Pilsner may yet be numbered.

I'm guessing they won't change.  Management can't be stupid enough to think they can up the price after a disappointing 2013, but I'm sure they're stupid enough to think that a one-and-done playoff appearance two years ago justifies the price they charged last year :?

I just bought a 9 pack of 16 ounce Coors Light for 9.99.

The beerman at the park get's a sawbuck from me for just one, with a modest tip...crazy!

Demand is price inelastic?

Sad to say, I don't remember how it tastes since it was my 3 and 5th beer in <2 hours, but I had a Whale's Tail from Nantucket at the tailgate today.  Pale Ale, I think, but without the blow you away hops.  There was a pretty good selection at my class's tent, but  I ended with a couple of WT's and a couple of #9s after an earlier Bud.

I just got my hands on some Heady Topper out of VT.  Another incredibly smooth IPA.

Isn't a "whale's tail" kind of like a "camel toe"?

This thread amazes me because, after a few beers, how  do you remember anything more than "it was a reddish yellow and had a ton of hops."
