I know, but no other manager in the majors does what Manny does with Fick, Jimenez, Batista!

No other manager has to deal with what Manny does - it's not like the Nats are loaded - players need off days sometimes - particularly a day game following a double header the day before ...

If you can find a guy who can get both types of hitters out with equal efficiency as a lefty specialist gets out lefties, you would have gold. The reality is that teams keep lefties around in the bullpen for situational purposes. It may not seem useful on a sub-500 team, but it is difficult to make a playoff run or win a title without one or two of them.

I get all that. I know that's what baseball has degraded in to. That's one of the reasons why we have so many soft ass pitchers in the big leagues. I just don't like it.

I think AZ would have the Nats change their name to the Washington Ganstas

another inning of this and they'll start to roll over for Maine. We need ronnynat's humping smiley to show how Maine is pwning us.

Yep, this team knows that they haven't hit Maine in the past and they will "roll over" as usual. 1 run just may be enough for Maine today.

no. Doesn't everyone know by now I live in Buffalo?! lol. I caught the past 3 games on SNY and then on some random station carrying the game.

I know you live in Buffalo (someone here thinks you live in NYC) but I thought you might get all the games this weekend.

Heaven forbid we tip our cap to a good pitcher - no we can't give Maine any credit at all - instead - our players are soft, they roll over, the have no heart blah blah blah ... give me a break

The problem is that they don't always get dominated by good pitchers. They roll over for awful pitchers on a regualr basis.
