Hey, this is actually fun to watch.  What is the name of this team?

Mock and Storen? I don't know about those two.
I meant Bergmann. Why do I have Mock on my mind? He should be nowhere near it

I've decided my new avatar accurately represents The Klej.

Thank you for that correction. I was really beginning to wonder there.

At the game last night I saw a lot more smiling faces (well after the 8th inning)

John "A Better Man" Lannan improves his record to 8-8 and lowers his ERA to 3.39.

These losses are crippling the slim chance that the Marlins had at making the playoffs.

Wow. Hopefully this is the start of turning that around.

I have always expected Zimm to get into the 22+ per full season range.  He may reach 30 if he continues this hot.  Dunn's on a solid pace for 40, continuing his pace nicely.

if they play like this for the rest of the season he will get consideration but in the end I don't think he will get the job.

He is clearly head and shoulders above Manny and seems like a great guy but I still think there are better options out there.

Hammer would be up with Zim, maybe Dunn if he started the season full time

He is way better than Manny. This team seems to want to play for him, whereas they simply quit on Manny.

He's doing a decent job.  Much more of a straight shooter than Manny, in terms of not spewing spin BS after each game.  You wonder how much of the seeming turnaround is due to Jim, or the team being tired of losing, or Pythagorean, or some combination of all of the above.  Hell, just a decent bullpen makes a huge difference.

I'm not sure it was all Manny, but I believe the team just quit on him. It might just be that everyone, including us fans, was ready for a change and a new approach.

thank you, McCatty. said he wanted to see Sosa throw another slider to Uggla on the 3-2 count too.

I like Steve a lot. hope he sticks around.

ps: We are 6-1 in the last 7 games when Nieves starts behind the plate.

And yet... Wil is still a terrible game caller.

You have no concept of sample size.

He's done a fantastic job thus far.  St. Claire is crapcanned and the Nats finally win a series against the Fish.  Coincidence?  Probably not.
