he gets a raise and a two-year deal with a perennial cup contender. some stability with a winning org and fluery was shaky enough last year to know he'll get some good playing time

His career save percentage is .909, and playoffs .904. Pretty pedestrian numbers. If I'm Pittsburgh, if I can find another goalie (which they just did) I'm looking to trade Fleury for way more than he's actually worth.

"Knuble's Knights" are going to have to hang up their plastic plate mail or retool for the new era...maybe "Perreault's Paladins"?

After how he played in the playoffs...I'm not so sure about that.

Partial plans come out in July.  Anyone want to split a 10 game(1 seat to 5 games) or join a 5 game plan?

At least we have a home game the night before Thanksgiving, but far less advantageous (WPG, and it's not Canadian Thanksgiving) than in past years (Buffalo used to play here a lot around the holidays, when most of their fans were back in western NY trying to thaw out their families with indoor charcoal grills...this year, we play the Sabres away on Boxing Day...boo).

And only one home matinee (Kings on superbowl sunday).  I guess that's good, not like some of those screwy weekends in past years...like where we had the Red Wings and Senators here for back-to-back noon matinees, whereby it was like having interplanetary jetlag by Monday morning.
