6-1 without Lopez, and with Bonifacio.

Larussa will probably discover that he has the same grassy knoll in due course.

Don't forget Walnuts.  Just think if we cut the fat earlier in the season, and not had to endure Wily No, Walnuts, Flop, and Fat Johnny.

Apparently not in this particular case!

Seriously though, I can't believe the Cards couldn't do better.  But then again I guess they're probably paying him next to nothing, right?
I said decrease chances, not prevent it from happening.  Somehow, by the grace of Lucifer, the team that picked up Cesar Izturis is currently in the postseason chase, giving Lopez an easy roster spot on a contending team.

Holy crap!

I haven't kept up on the Nats in the last few games at all, and was just channel-surfing.  I landed on an ESPN replay of tonight's Cubs-Cards game, and guess who was up to bat for the Cardinals...

I flipped out :D

why the hell would you even bring those numbers up/bump this thread?  he's gone, he's a former nat and he was a piece of crap here.  he didn't try hard, he failed more than he succeeded.  he's in the past and thank god we keep it that way.  we're 5-16 and that sucks, but at least our guys are trying.

Yes but at least sucked is past tense.  For those of you thinking Hernandez sucks too, just look at our other options at 2B.  We could be playing Fat Ronny...

i said we should've gone after hudson.  he would've helped.  but '360' actually had a good week.

felipe lopez SUCKED for us and he's gone.  no need to torture yourself or think of the would've/could've/should'ves.  also it's not like flop can pitch.

Jeffrey "green eggs and" Hammonds, Ryan "the face" Zimmerman and Ryan "gamer" Churchie succeed more than they fail in his mind.   :bang:  We have a few others here who also feel the same about their man crushes. It's a wonder why we aren't undefeated.

was shawn hill a cancer?  did shawn hill talk bad about his teammates and playing in dc?

we made the move to cut ties with hill, it's a shame he gets hurt so often, he should've been moved to the pen.

hahahaha spider STFU.

Zimmerman has been money this year and I have critized him when he makes errors or struggles (just read the first two gameday threads).  But right now he's playing lights out.

Church is fragile as hell, but was solid and someone in our organization didn't like him.  He's batting well over .300 for the Mets and I'd take him over Kearns.

And I grew up being a huge Hammonds fan, he was always hurt, but had a few good years.

the whole point is I don't understand why minty is bumping this thread with flops stats?  who cares.

Maybe he thinks it's worthy of note and wants to point it out. It's probably just as worthy of discussion as, say, coming up with nicknames for players.

Hmmm...a pitcher who didn't even pitch.....yeah, I'd say he wasn't a cancer, but rather an annoying cyst.

The point is, you and a few others seem to have no problem talking up former players and wishing they were back that you tend to like, but have huge issues when others bring up other players you might not like so much. Why can't you say "no need to torture yourself or think of the would've/could've/should'ves" about Hill?

In Minty's defense, he did compare the current Nats 2B with what we had before. He is keeping his topics current.
