This is me and my Mom a few years (ok, 5) ago... but it's the last really cool pic I have us together. Anyways, here it is.
Also, I wrote this poem for my mom, but if it fits any of you guys and you'd like to "borrow my intellectual content" to slap a smile on your maternal figure's face, go ahead. Happy Mother's day to all of you gals, and I'm sorry about the ovaries....
Anyways, the poem...
You chased me and you tailed me
While I kept a frantic pace
But you matched me step by step
Displaying effortless grace
You know everything I’ve been through
You know all the wrong I’ve done
But still somehow, even today
You’re proud to call me son.
And I don’t know how you do it
I just can’t comprehend
How you can be so filled with love
That it will never end
I know that I’m not perfect
I’m not even half way there to “good”
But you still take the time to show me how
To live the life I should
I’m not the son that you deserve
I know I’ve done too much wrong
But I am so very thankful
That I have the chance to call you “Mom”
