Acta really amazes me sometimes with his thinking. Stop defending your stupid mistakes and man up.

Quote
Acta was asked why he didn't go with Hinckley in that situation instead of Manning. In his brief time with the club, Hinckley has proven that he can get the heart of the order out, which he did in the eighth inning on Tuesday. But Acta explained that Manning has pitched more innings than Hinckley.

"You know that Manning has [36 1/3] innings and Hinckley has only [5 1/3]. Don't jump on the bandwagon so fast," Acta said. "Let's just let the kid develop. I don't think if Manning had gotten those two guys out, you wouldn't have come up with that question. Save it."

I wish Manny were giving Montz more of a shot. Nieves is obviously nothing more than an average backup, and if you really think Luke is a "late bloomer" then see what he can do playing every day.

I dread Odalis Perez's starts. They are all pretty much the same. He nibbles and walks several hitters and then gives up a big double or bomb and then after he gets out of the inning he cusses himself out and gets pissed which does nothing but make it worse.  :bang:

I would love to frankenstein him into bergmann's body.

Time for Bonifacio to show some signs of life.

oh man. Eugenio Velez just hit a walk-off 2-run double against the D'Backs with 2 outs and an 0-2 count. He had a Walk-off RBI Single against them last night.

The sorry ass D'Backs are now 71-74, have lost 6 in a row, and are 3 Games behind the Dodgers for First place in the NL West.

Rauch has a 10.80 ERA since August 19th, and has given up earned runs in 8 of his last 10 games. Maybe all those years of heavy use are starting to catch up.

But some people here wanted out franchise to be just like the DBacks.

I wouldn't mind per se, but I don't see a championship on the horizon for them now or next year.

They're still under .500, I'd like to aim for something better than that.

Me too. He has only give up 8 hits and 1 run against us in 14.2 innings this year.

I have the same feeling.  Pelfrey has been really good over the past couple months.

Bonifacio is hitting it in the air WAY too much.

Yeah, I don't get that swing he was just taking. You knew if he made contact it was going to be a fly ball to LF and that's what happened. He needs a more level ground-ball/line drive swing.

Not too optimistic for the Rick Eckstein era so far.

Honestly I'm not going to be disappointed if we end up losing this game.
Why not? I hate losing to the stupid Mutts.

I expect us to lose but I hope we win and piss them off. I'm looking forward to the 4-game home series against them next week. I'd love for us to take 3.

Those were some sad ass swings. Odalis Perez will be lucky if he does any better than Lannan.
