I had a bad feeling about Riggs leaving.   ... this team has not been that good since he left. They look like the Nats of old. You just don't mess with something when it's working like the Nats were at the time that Riggs left.

The Cubs new pitcher was a really good WR for Notre Dame at one point.

Yep he was an absolute beast at ND.

Stairs has made a career out of that...
He's made $18,795,000 off of that.

I hate high outfield walls.

An outfield fense should be no more than nine or ten feet high.

Nix hoofing it, sore achilles and all. There's your real team leadership right there.

And guess what?  He is 40 and hasn't hit a HR in almost 70 plate appearances.

Well that will get the job done. Much better than a strikeout.

Aren't you including Werth as one of the automatic outs?

You can probably guess my opinion.

But Bucky Dent hit a HR over the Green Monster so I'm ok with it at times.

Matt Stairs walkup is a Toby Keith song that says "I ain't as good as I once was". Great choice Matt. Great choice.

That ground ball is nice but is pretty much exactly why this offense sucks. We rarely are able to have big innings and string hits together. It's always home runs or outs.
