Bernie is amazing!!!!
When Bernadina streaks...well, I remember a Sport magazine story on the 1960 season and predictions for the top players. The story about Willie Mays was titled something like "He streaks, but he streaks to the top".
Bernie is about 1/2 Mays, which is still pretty good. When Bernadina is streaking, he is great. If Davey could see the future and know when Bernadina would streak and when he'd go cold, then the Nats might be unbeatable.
Still, I'd say that the improvement of Bernadina, Desmond, and Espinosa, plus the pitching, has made the difference this season. And I like Lombo...don;t know where to play him when Desmond returns, but he has also been importgant. First when Morse and Werth were hurt, and then when Desmond went down. He could probably catch, too.
