Ok, 1 inning, we're in the lead

Not now...

2nd   G Soto homered to left.

Nationals 1
Cubs        1

This is another disappointing effort against a terrible pitcher.

It's baffling that we can't get anything going against this guy. He's throwing ALL meat pitches.

Pitiful. Det is going to give it up. We needed 7-9+ runs tonight to win

PC, this is the real reason why tonight's Anibal Sanchez doesn't show up against the Nats.

It's "efforts" like these that make me wonder if they actually prepare for opposing pitchers?  Do they have some sort of game plan because this is a bad pitcher that you shouldn't be stifled against.

I'm really stunned that we aren't doing squat against him.  I hope that changes starting this inning.  No excuse...

Tonight, MLB Extra has MASN's Carpenter and FP. Saw Rockies and then Cubs broadcasts last night. Their announcers seems a little more grownup. First thing I hear from Carpenter is that the Cubs are wearing number 10 for their "fallen hero". The number is for Ron Santo, who was a good Cubs 3b in the '60s and '70s, and a Cubs broadcaster. "Fallen hero"???

Unreal. 10 of the last 11 batters retired by Lopez :hang:

Cubs score another run and it's over.

Detwiler's hanging in there.  Not quite as dominant as Wang last night, of course.

Hey, what did you think of THAT performance, eh?
