Suppose he is named to the All Star team, or is likely to be named to the All Star team, along with Gio? The All Star game is 7/10. Would the team perhaps skip Detwanger and throw Stras on 7/5 (normal rest v. SF). That would allow the team to go Gio / JZ / Jackson and skip 2 turns of the #5 starter. JZ and Jackson could open the 2d half (7/13 and 14), then you could shuffle in Gio, Stras, and #5 in some order over the next 3 starts (2 at Miami, 1 at home v NYM). That takes him out to 9/4, based on 13 starts.
