Bergey is going to be the best bullpen option we have.  Call up Clippard to replace Tavarez.

Quote
Catcher Jesus Flores, on the disabled list because of a right shoulder contusion, took batting practice and was able to throw the baseball without any problems on Friday.

The plan was to let Flores rehab the shoulder at the team's complex in Viera Fla., but it looks like he will have a rehab assignment with one of the Minor League team starting Monday.

"I'm happy that I started doing everything [as far as baseball activities]. Right now, we are all excited to start playing," Flores said.
Rehab assignment for Flores on Monday. It'd be nice if he played here in Potomac since they are home Monday-Wednesday.

It would be cool if it were Belliard again.  Really get in their heads.

Tavarez has been more good than bad, I'd say replace Colome.

I don't like hearing Orioles promotions during Nationals games.  Keep the broadcasts separate from now on!

The last Nats walk-off win was a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th by Elijah Dukes against the Braves on August 30th, 2008.

Got him on the Ryan Howard shift.  Funny you don't see so many NL teams doing that to Dunn.

Yeah I knew what it was, I just can't remember seeing him actually get out that way before.

I've seen it a lot more often this season. Some teams have done it vs. Huff and even Markakis a couple of times.

Are we ever going to win a walk-off again?

We have had a bazillion chances to do so this year and have came up empty every damn time.

Looks like we only have Kearns and Nieves left to hit, assuming Hernandez is not available.
