Historical aside: this past off-season saw the retirement from the Brewers of Craig Counsell, who, as an Arizona Diamondback, was the first-ever batter to step into the box in a Nationals home match - he struck out to Livan Hernandez. He now works in the Brewers' front office (http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/7470907/craig-counsell-retires-join-milwaukee-brewers-front-office).

Wow that's dumb as crap. What the freak is he doing?! Pissing the game down the freaking drain. Move your feet rather than just reaching for it lazily

Mercifully over with the Nats behind just 2-1...we really need to tee off on Rogers.

Victorino Solo HR off Hudson. Cuts Braves lead to 3-1.

I would rather have the lefty pitching against the Phillies than the Brewers.  I wish there was some way we could have adjusted the rotation to make that happen.  Of course, Gio was his own worst enemy in that inning.

Gonzalez threw 26 pitches that inning, just 13 for strikes.

Gio will always be a walk machine. He'll never be an elite pitcher.

This is why we still need another starter for when Stras is shut down. Gio is good but erratic and Jordan is a 6 inning pitcher. We need another guy like Josh Johnson to stick in there if we want a chance to go up against the good teams.

Who give a freak about velocity? His fastball has no movement and his command is poor. The Nats have had several hard hit balls off him so far in the first 2 innings. They will get to him.
