Dan Leatherman (almost 24) should be in AA. 4-0, 3.46 ERA, 1 K per IP.
Marcos Frias (20) should be in A+. 5-2, 2.79 ERA, 73 Ks to 17 BBs. Only 4 HR allowed in 77.1 IP.
Justin Phillabaum (23) should be in A+. 1-2, 2.21 ERA. .228 BA Against, 37 Ks in 40.2 IP.
Osvaldo Rordriguez (25?!!) should be in A+. 2-2, 10 Saves, 3.03 ERA, 44 Ks in 32.2 IP.
Athualapa Severino (24) should be in AA. 3-0, 11 Saves, 2.54 ERA, .213 BA against.
I could go on with more and more names if you like but those are some of the first ones that come to my mind.
the thing is we don't see these guys everyday, we don't have the same experience and keen eye that the personnel in our front office/development group/etc.
obviously we've seen enough of kearns where we know he can't cut it. but for these kids we just got by reports, box scores and from time-to-time watching them play with our own eyes.
but it seems like hood is handling rookie pitching with ease and it looks like he's ready for a bump.
