Nationals vs Rays, Game 1
« Topic Start: June 19, 2012, 11:42:19 AM »
Just like last time Wang pitched and no one wanted to start the thread I will pick up the slack and create this one even though it's a #5 vs #1 matchup.

Time to devour some Rays :whip: :whip:

Capital Weather Gang NatCast has 'While warmer, still an overall pleasant game night.' with high of 82 and low of 78, chance of rain nil. If you want to take in any of this Rays series and aren't too crazy about beastly-hot days, better go to this one...they're estimating 96 for tomorrow and 99 (with 20% chance of rain) for Thursday.

One nice thing though: it's a weeknight series so no major Metro track work.

No, just the normal break downs and sluggishness ....

Gotta work tonight. Hopefully I'm off in time to get home and see the latter innings. GO NATS!

Maybe Taste of the Majors will have a ray special.  Fried up with chilis and red curry and served on a banana leaf will do.

I'm just hoping earned runs stay under innings pitched- he has the luckiest 4.6 era ever- his barely sub 2 whip is going to come back to haunt him eventually, hopefully we're up by enough that it wont matter

Or maybe he will get better with each start. I'm hoping for better...

I'm concerned about Wang but more concerned about Zimmerman and Morse.

The security at Andrews AFB is sending around heat warnings.  While this seems a little excessive, I hope all who attend the game tonight bring extra water

haha SF calling everyone out :lmao:

hope we win.  i feel good about this series though, even if we drop tonight's game.

while their O may be better than ours, the rays don't do anything great offensively.  their pitching is solid, but i have to give the edge to our staff.

The batting order should be interesting. Will Zim drop?

Agree Z-Man and The Beast haven't been hot lately. I think of the two Morse is the warmer right now. It would be nice for them to be the guys who are hot this game/series.

Probably not I think his name is part of the template for the batting order sheets.

Hot? I'd settle for lukewarm at this point

Not true bro. That's why they have that numbered gatorade system. 1-2-3.
