Game's not over yet.  Our bullpen will still walk people and give up some runs.  Be patient.

I'm not talking about the entire game.  But those 6 innings were unfair.

They're gonna pinch-hit for Jordan here, aren't they? But he can throw one more inning!

Le sigh.

You let Gio go 117 and JZ not even get to 90.  That makes a lot of sense

Bullpen's going to walk 3 batters and give up 1 run. Calling it now.

Two years removed from Tj surgery and you want to keep him fresh for the postseason. I am OK with him not getting to play longer (though I wish Davey would let him) if it means he will still be this good at the end of the season.

using a run environment of 4.5, the difference is .04 (4%)

Used Studeman's calculator on hardball times.

But it also means the bullpen has to work more, of which the side effects showed in July.

I think these guys coined it.

FYI, they didn't, at least not according to Comak's story today (or was it yesterday?).  It was something he picked up long before he got to DC, it only came to light recently.

Why was JZ pulled at 87 pitches??

Why not give the pen another night off or 7-8 inns

Its Davey. The guy's also 2 years removed from TJ. I don't know.

If it were me, I'd let him go another inning or two. But what can you do.
