Wow.   My son goes to school in Richmond and the news just reported that the train from Richmond east (Newport News/Norfolk has been cancelled.).    Lots of relatives and friends in Tidewater.

we got a dusting in the gainesville/manassas area.

i just saw the report of a foot in Norfolk, the previous record was 5"

It's a toss up as to which has the best hype machine.   My favorite is "wintry mix" (more local than NOAA).   It's like an atmospheric underwear bomber.

it's snowing like everywhere but here. but we're supposed to get it tomorrow night, with a chance of a snow day on wednesday.
