Congrats to all 3. Padilla has been great. We should deal him to another team so he gets a chance to play in the Majors.

yeah I question why Padilla hasn't had a cup of coffee as a 4th outfielder (oh wait we have our $8 million man holding the fort down).  Good for Bynum.  His offense has been surprisingly good, but his defense has been pretty poor from what it sounds like.  J.D. deserves it, that's for sure.

We should have dumped Kearns in the Everglades when we had the chance.

Congrats! to all 3 of those guys.  We should take a poll on who will be the first one called up?  My guess would be JD!

I can't believe Padilla has not retired yet. I know tons of guys who have waited less amount of time.

Dude's putting up nice numbers. Would be cool to finally give the guy a call up in September for his first big league action.

Does anyone have an idea who has the edge in this game PCL or IL team?

It is on ESPN2 at 7pm PST Wed July 15th by the way...

Well, the PCL will have home field advangage.  Frankly, I wouldn't have a clue how to begin handicapping a  minor league all-star game.

I thought maybe there would be some fantacy baseball guys who already know all the stats off the top of their heads! Looking these guys up individually would take some time. I think I'll just watch the game instead...

The standard wisdom is that the PCL inflates hitters stats and the IL is more of a pitchers league.

There are definately some band boxes in the PCL.  Colorado Springs is at something like 7,000 ft.

It was a good game. Very close. JD gave up a HR in the one inning he pitched. Still, looked good to me! It would have been fun to watch him go a few innings, or 5 or 6 or 7. Maybe in another few weeks we'll see him with the Nats.

Excepted for hanging that Duce, I thought he pitched well. He kept the ball down, cutter moved well and I see he hit the 90 mph mark 3 or 4 times!!! Gee!! that's below average fastball?? I didn't realize that!!!!!! Good luck the 2nd half, JD Martin......
