Gameday Thread: Nationals @ Rockies, Game 2
« Topic Start: August 13, 2005, 02:02:48 PM »
Game Time: 8:05 PM

Tony Armas, RHP (6-5, 4.64)
Armas will face the Rockies for the second time this season. On July 19 against the Rockies, he left the game after two-plus innings because of dizziness and dehydration. The gametime temperature was 87 degrees, but it was very humid. In his last start, Armas, who managed to pick up his sixth victory of the season, pitched five innings and gave up one run on four hits against the Dodgers. He left the game because of right shoulder tendinitis.

Byung-Hyun Kim, RHP (3-8, 5.05)
Kim has truly settled into the rotation. After pitching reasonably well but not getting length, Kim has gone seven innings in three of his last four starts and compiled a 4.55 ERA over those four games.

Starting Lineups:
Code: [Select]

1. Brandon Watson, LF     Larry Bigbie, CF
2. Jose Vidro, 2B         Aaron Miles, 2B

I'm predicting a BP session in today's game.  Once Kim's arm gets tired he starts elevating his location and look out.  No matter what the result this could inject some much needed confidence in our players at the plate.

I saw it.

and I promptly went to the window to check for signs of the apocalypse.

you know, meteors falling from the sky, people rioting in the streets, that sort of thing.
