Desmond will find a way to strike out to possibly the worst pitcher we've seen this year.
He struck out against Doug Slaten????

Wow, learn something new every day.  I didn't know Chase Utley played 3B for the Pads.

Can't wait until sunshine squad post a link from mark lerners latest blog entry telling us about wilson ramos 9th inning homer, danny espinosas could've been homer, how they love mlb drafts, the new shake shack and of course the racing presidents.

lol ray knight questioning our approach at the plate ... hmmm maybe two reasons for that: a) look @ the roster, b) the hitting coach is awful.

OMG, watching replays, Livo almost died!

The SD crowd giving him an ovation for that was awesome.  SD fans are now good people in my book.

Not even going to read the GDT or watch the highlights. Not worth it anymore. I'm 0-1 in GDT. freak me

So, I take it HRod was HRod again?  There is no accountability with this team.

Padres seem to give the Nats more trouble than just about anyone: we are 11-29 all-time against them including last night's result, have never won more than one match in an away series against them (still a chance to change that in this series, but...). In fact the Nats have won only two series against them twice ever (the home series of 2009 and 2010, both 2-1).

It's funny how other bad teams try to make their teams better by DFA'ing the poor performers and trying to bring in new players.

Instead, we sit on our hands because a) we have literally no depth, b) Rizzo built a bullpen with no options and c) the only thing that matters is hustle, not actual performance.

it's amazing.  remember that one year (think it was 08) we shipped out 3 dudes out of our pen, cut two starters and DFA'd a few position players in a week.

I've never seen anything quite like this team. Awful, awful baseball over the last month or so and no changes have been made whatsoever.

Even in the past we have usually called up replacements or found other guys to play. But nope we are stuck with all these has-beens.

That was 2009, not last year.

Yeah, I remember it being '09 because it was right after Rizzo took over as GM for Leather Pants.

That was the infamous "I didn't like his aura" comment from Hawaiian shirt Mike.
