Fun facts 8/20/14

  • The Game: Nationals put their leadoff man on base in each of the first five innings last night, and in only one inning (7th) did they fail to get a man on base.
  • The Season: Nationals have a run differential of plus 100 runs.  For their first 79 games, it was +31.  For their last 45 games, it has been +69.
  • The Team: Six of the pitchers on the current roster were with the team in 2010.  Four of the position players were.

So just checking out some split. The Nats have the best record in the league versus left hand pitching: so with that said, who would be our best matchup in the 'offs based off that stat.

Braves & Pirates are the only playoff team with more than one lefty in the rotation.
