Frankly I hope that if we do get a Sunday nighter it'll be an away match. I didn't go to the home Sunday nighter last season, with Metro having to be dragged kicking and screaming into staying open for the matchgoers - and the problem where I'm at is that even if Metrorail does stay open late, the buses from Pentagon City stop at midnight (only alternative after that is a cab).

Schedule on official site now has first-pitch times added: http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=was#y=2013&m=4&calendar=DEFAULT

Thanks!  Unfortunately, the printable version still hasn't been updated, and that's what I tend to work from.  I'm sure they'll get to it soon, but I'm sooo impatient!

Back-to-back 1:05 starts on Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25?  That's unusual...

'Bout damn time. But this year you can't download to Excel. Anyone know where I can find an Excel version?

That was the first thing I noticed. Has to be a mistake.  Wednesday makes sense, not Thursday.

ESPN agrees.  http://espn.go.com/mlb/schedule?date=20130424

a couple other oddities: a 5:05 Sunday start time against the Phillies in August, and 9/1 Sunday against the Mets remains TBD.

Interesting.  A 5:05 start is the closest you can get to a night game on Sundays (other than ESPN Sunday Night Baseball) because of the ESPN blackout.  Maybe ESPN is considering picking up the 9/1 game and it's not finalized, but I don't know why they'd want a game where we play the Mets

Wow, I like this schedule. Seems like a crapload less day games than normal. Even early season/cold weather Saturday games are 4pm instead of 1pm. Very much liking the scarcity of non-Sunday 1pm starts.

I go the other way, I'd like to see a few more week day afternoon games.  I understand why they don't, but I always enjoy taking an afternoon off on occasion to watch those.

Especially in colder weather, 1:05 beats the heck out of 4:05 or 7:05.  Up to mid May and after the second weekend in September, Saturdays should be 1:05.  It probably also makes it easier for Richmond and Hagersburg fans to make it in and back.

The July 4, 11:05am game is back. Two years in a row makes it a tradition. Like.

A home game at any other time would be a cluster f@#k so I'd expect it to be every year we have a home game

Anyone know when opening day tix will be on sale to the general public?

Probably February.  My ticket rep said that 20 game holders would get an email before they go on sale to to the public to purchase Opening Day tix.  20 game plan holders no longer have Opening Day in their plan.

i'm guessing the "buy 5, get one free game package that includes opening day" plans are on the trash heap.

Damn I hate winning. :couch:

Don't be so sure, we're playing the Marlins on a Monday, they're going to need those sorts of promotions to ensure a full house.

IF that were the case they would have 20 game plan holders get Opening Day.   If you do that you would have to fight off angry 20 game holders.   5 game holders get Opening Day?   I THINK NOT.   People don't care about the opponent.   They want to go to their home opener!

We're still getting in via the pre sale. I'll wager that there is a buy four get one free plan that includes opening day.

If the weather is nice they'll be selling standing room tickets, if it's cold or rainy we'll see the new StubHub minimum prices put into effect.

...and speaking of StubHub...they currently show 2,891 tickets available for Opening Day, starting at $55.90.

They don't need promotions for OD. It sells out easily every year and this year it will be the hottest ticket since the opening in 2008.

Yep, my father and I are planning on paying a pretty penny for OD seats this year. We had two five gamers each and I'm not counting on much.
