I remember Lowe once won the clinching game in all 3 playoff series his team was in one year, including the 4th game of a world series sweep.  Anyone remember what team?

never heard of that team.

2004

so are you saying Boston won the world series that year?  never occurred to me.  Must have been a fluke.  That team could not have repeated in that decade. . .

:)

I'm saying Derek Lowe won three series clinching games in 2004.

If I rooted for multiple teams, I'm sure one of them would have been good in the past, too.

Y'all realize JCA was being silly. Being, ya know, a Red Sox fan.

Some of us choose not to remember the Bush administration.

Yankees sign P Derek Lowe who is 39 years old to help their staff now that Sabathia is out.    :lmao:

He was 8-10 for the Indians this year with a 5.52 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP.

Couldn't have happened to a "nicer" team.  LOL.

Have fun with him Yankees fans (if there are any in here).  There's a reason the Nats, Cubs, Orioles, Red Sox, Giants, and Cardinals all said no.  And there's a reason the Indians dumped him...

Yankees hit well enough that they can probably get some use out of Lowe even with those numbers.

He looked good in today's (yesterday's) game in short innings.

Hey, now...Suzyn Waldman is a really good announcer.

...and, before I forget, the Yankees have a pitcher named Kuroda who isn't bad.

The one thing that Sox and Yankees fans can agree on: Suzyn Waldman is a man

Suzyn is good...not is all the others. Especially the radio guy, who gargles at the end of a Yankees win. I still call the radio guys SAterling Kay" because I can never remember which one moved to TV, but the radio guy is among the all-time worst. I can still cause my daughter to hit the ceiling every time I quote  him from about 2001: "Every day, this kid does something that makes you smile and sometimes laugh out loud": meaning Al-fon-zo Sor-i-ano...drawn out like that.
