In fairness you can chalk that up to injuries.  Mattheus gets the 9th if the bullpen is healthy.

Mattheus isn't out with an injury. He's out with stupidity.

Tough loss. Worst thing that could happen is Tracy hitting another homer there and we still lose, now he's basically safe for the season.

Dominic Brown should have been walked there. First base open against one of the hottest hitters in baseball, you can't pitch to him.

Is this what it was like being a Nationals fan pre 2012?

I actually really enjoyed 2011.

This year has been aggravating. Heavy lies the crown of expectations I suppose.

For the most part, there were no expectations pre-2012.    We were just happy to have a team.   Expectations can be a mess.    Ya know, it's like when you go to the ball game with that hot lady from accounting and you have expectations.    Well, when those expectations don't work out, you can either move on to the next lady or mope.    We tend to mope.   :)

Pretty much as Milton said, there were NO expectations Pre 2012. I don't know about anyone else but I was still on the "After 33 years we finally have a team again" High. I still kind of suffer from that.

It was a different type of frustration.
