Guys, who was the player of the game?  I stuck a poll at the top of the thread.

You didn't include KV, his first time posting in a game thread!

I voted Nieves.  He changes everything when he's in the game. Not that Lannan didn't pitch his guts out, but Nieves choreographs the entire effort, he is enthusiastic and motivating, and he even got a couple of hits.  We can win with that guy behind the plate.

I sense that he impacts the team in a very favorable, intangible way.

John Lannan  :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

zimmerman NEEDED that 2 rbi double, he smoked it! the team as a whole needed that top of the 9th, even if it was aided by the throwing error.

after each win, i alway say "hopefully this will get em going"....hopefully tonights win will carry over to the huge home stand.

my game-day thread starting record is at .500  :woop: :woop:

I only checked the score of this game once while watching the Caps game, and it showed the Nats were winning 1-0.

The Nats winning tonight doesn't take the sting off the Caps' loss.  :(

Now this is the kind of game I like!! Pitching, hitting and no stupid f/u errors :D Lannan is the MVP of the game.

Wow, shortest gameday thread all year!

Great, great pitching by Lannan, and some great 9th-inning luck that maybe will start to carry over. It's not too late - and given Lannan's performance, the [more distant] future looks bright.

I used to do this all the time last season after wins ... and i'm bringing it back!!!

Bang Zoom! Another Curly W Is In the Books!!!

Great job by John Lannan (A better man than I'll ever be) ... The Man, The Myth, The Milledge ... Willie "Mays Hayes" Harris ... and it's good to see Kid Clutch with the hit in the 9th.
