GMUnat has gone from mildly interesting contrarian point of view to troll to douche in pretty quick succession.

Strasburg: "I thought I had another start. It was pretty shocking. Honestly, I'm not too happy about it. I want to keep pitching out there."

Davey shut the Flower down because he couldn't handle the media pressure, but now we get to see how he handles getting benched right before his first shot at the playoffs.

PA, that's a perfectly acceptable reason. The media stressed him out, is not.

Quote
After holding his comments all season, Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg reacted angrily to the Nationals’ decision to shut him down today, saying he feels fine physically and he wants to keep pitching.
“I don’t know if I’m ever going to accept it, to be honest,” Strasburg said. “It’s something that I’m not happy about at all. That’s not why I play the game. I play the game to be a good teammate and win. You don’t grow up dreaming out playing in the big leagues to get shut down when the games start to matter. It’s going to be a tough one to swallow.

Sounds like it. Linty is the most negative person on the forum when it comes to Strasburg and Harper.

Couldn't one of the PR guys tell Strasburg to STFU about being unhappy with the shutdown?

I love Strasburg.

and I love Harper.

If you mean by negative in that I think they'll bolt... yes, I think Harper will... but as I've said 100+ times, I think Strasburg stays a Nat... though today's quote lowers my belief in that regard.

Of course, if you have evidence stating otherwise... feel free to post it.

There's no way to know, but strong statements earlier in the year from Strasburg may have cause Rizzo to relent on the whole thing.

And Jordan Zimmermann has just been proven to be the better teammate.  Inferior pitcher but better teammate.

There's no way.  He wouldn't have been happy about being stopped unless the season was over or his arm was in shreds, whichever came first.

Laughing only encourages his trolling. Worst of all, he's not even close to being correct. So, laugh if you want... but you're only encouraging his behavior.

Yeah up yours Strasburg! How do you express your freedom of speech. I want to be able to control all of your feelings and force you to smile sorta like in that Flander's inspired dystopian future on the Halloween Special on the Simpsons.

By the way, read past the headlines and Strasburg said things like this:

"As of right now, I think they’ve got some world-renowned doctors. One of them, Dr. [Lewis] Yocum, he resurrected my career. I’ve got to listen to him and I’ve got to trust him.”

and this:

"But I want to be here for the long haul, and I want to be a part of this for many years to come.”

So yeah, he wants to compete, but ultimately he's accepting it and there doesn't seem to be any reason to worry about long-term animosity between Stras and the team.  Especially since Boras is all for the shutdown.
