Yes, he deserves it but that's not my point.  He's not going to get the votes to start because he's a National.

I tend to sadly agree. We need to stop pretending the All-Star game is based on stats, merits, and includes players that actually deserve to be there. David Wright's popularity and the NY Idiot Horde voting like crazy will see to his entry.

That may have been one of his best hits in this streak.

Yeah, it's not just that he plays on the Nats. It's that he doesn't play for NY.

It really would have made sense to give Dunn a night off with Johnson starting.

definitely. his numbers against Randy Johnson are bad. Too bad Acta is a freaking moron. We could have put Kearns in there.

quick question - if zimm had a game off, would that end his hitting streak?

The streak continues...

ESPN's sports news crawl LAST NIGHT only contained a single MLB news item:  :worship: Zim-with-1-N's streak.  They have ALREADY added tonight's hit to their news crawl.  So the Nats broadcasters are wrong, the media is already following it.  He made fantasy baseball's front page.  ESPN just reported it as "Incredible... having faced 65 pitchers."

http://insider.espn.go.com/fantasy/baseball/flb/story?page=clipboard090511&action=upsell&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2ffantasy%2fbaseball%2fflb%2fstory%3fpage%3dclipboard090511

:worship: :panic: :woop:   Zim-with-1-N for All Star!!!!!!!!!

I think one of his reasons for not giving him a day off is to keep him batting behind Zimmerman during this streak. Also, he's pretty hot himself.

If Zimm walked all 4 at bats, that doesnt end his streak either right? Since they're unofficial at bats and whatever?

Would be nice to see Dunn put it in McCovey Cove a couple times this series.
