I'll take that type of game from our starter every game.

He's looked the best outside of Livo, so far.

Almost had a QS.  Still not the worst outing you could have against the Phillies.

Well he's probably tired.  He's coming back from the injury, and just doesn't have the stamina yet.   He should have been pulled.

Plus, he damn sure wasn't getting any help from the ump.  Those last two balls before the hit were both on the outside edge.

yeah.  it's a shame he let a crappy hitter in castro beat him though.

yeah but let's say we pull him and clippard gives up that hit ... then some start questioning riggleman.

olsen pitched a solid game, don't get me wrong, but he made a crappy pitch to castro.

still 3 innings to go. Either way, we're done with the Philthies until July 30th. By then, who knows how many changes we will have?

Rob you are a moron if you think Clippard is in danger of being sent anywhere.

On top of that, he challenged the hitter instead of nibbling and walking the batter home.  Very good outing from him today, way better than I expected.

The Phils can hit and score runs with anyone, including the Yanks.  That lineup is just loaded.  Can't ask for much more from Scott.

That's the way baseball is, a manager is just trying to finess the percentages to eke out some small advantage here or there.  I couldn't fault Riggleman for putting in our best reliever Clippard, even if he did give up the hit in that situation.

I HATE THE PHILLIES, SO MUCH!

I hate them more than the Cowboys, more than the Penguins, more than the Yankees and Red Sox combined!  >:(

Right, several of that last walk were arguably in the zone, per Gameday.

That half-inning would never happen for the Nationals.  No home plate umpire would give the Nats' hitters so many close calls.
