What teams do you root for?

State what teams you root for in pro football, hockey, and basketball, diehard or bandwagon.

My teams:

FOOTBALL: Patriots (just bcuz everyone else roots for them  :| )

HOCKEY: Lightning (Martin St. Louie came out of the University of Vermont)

BASKETBALL: Celtics, Cavs (Celtics are my regional team, Cavs have my two favorite players in LeBron James and Zydrunas Ilgauskus)

SENATORS/NATS SINCE CHILDHOOD IN CUBA. SINCE IT WAS AMERICAN LEAGUE, I CHOSE THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS FOR MY NATIONAL LEAGUE TEAM THEN.

FOOTBALL: SKINS
HOCKEY: CAPS (NO HOCKEY IN CUBA)
BASKET: WIZZARDS, MYSTICS

My favorite sport, other than baseball, of course, is football.  Hockey is a close third...

NFL Team:  Pittsburgh Steelers - I lived in Pittsburgh for a few years, so I picked up on the Steelers
NHL Team:  Montreal Canadiens - Also the same reason why I like the Nationals...I was born in Montreal, obvious connection there.
NBA Team:  Orlando Magic - I don't follow NBA, but they drafted J.J. Redick, so I just want him to do well. :)

Redskins, and Terps basketball and football (in that order).

I also root for the Caps and Wizards, though with a lot less gusto than the aforementioned Terps and 'Skins.

Football: Amsterdam Admirals (we call this American Football)
We also have Hockey here (we call this Icehockey), but nothing that I watch or are interested in.
Basketball: For a long time we followed the team of Rick Smit (Indians), but I have no favourites here.

Sports that I follow closely: Football or Soccer as you named it.
Club that I support is AZ from Alkmaar (watch them, they play very attractive).
I used to have season tickets for about 15 years, but that faded after I moved out the city.

Other sports: Volleybal (I play this sport regurarly) and tennis.
The Tour the France is always an interesting event in the summer.
In winter we watch (speed)skating. Allround championships and world cup events.
No teams to watch here allthough..

Baseball: Washington Nationals (don't really have any other faves but I like several AL teams)
Basketball: don't really care, but the Mavs, Spurs, and Kings are alright
Soccer: don't care...  I can't even name an American soccer team except for DC United.
Hockey: don't care but Caps are fine I guess ;)

C! - A! - P! - S! - CAPS!  CAPS!  CAPS!

In MLB it's NATS, NATS and NATS.  But I am a National League guy and don't really care for American League baseball.  As a result, I root for all NL teams in the WS and in interleague play.  I also have a local A-ball team affilliated with the Astros so I kinda follow them too.

Redskins in football - though I have a slew of teams that I "like" and a collection of teams that I "hate" in football.  I find that football is the one sport where I tend to have a "rooting interest" in every game because I have strong feelings about just about every team in the NFL.

But I love college hockey.  I'm a Clarkson fan first and if the Knights don't win than the Cornell Big Red are #1-A in my book.  And then in the NCAA Men's Division I Hockey Tournament, I root for any and all ECACHL teams and root against most Hockey East teams.

NBA bores me - I have 0 patience for the NBA.

College Hoops:  UAlbany Great Danes (me alma mater), North Carolina Tar Heels, Georgetown Hoyas.

NASCAR:  Don't care at all.

College Football:  See college hoops (though I don't watch much college football).

MLB  :  Its the White Sox, and whatever team is playing the Cubs.  I do like the Nats a lot, which is why I hang out here.

NFL:  Bears, of course. No matter what anyone argues about the Cubs and Sox, Chicago is really a Bears town.  But I also like the Arizona Cardinals (I will always feel linked to Chicago's "other" southside team.  The Cardinals were originally in Chicago, and played thier games at Comiskey Park).

NBA:  Bulls (but I am much more of a bandwagon fan of the NBA, and haven't really closely follwed basketball since the Michael Jordan years)

NCAA Basketball:  Illinois, and I'll watch/follow just about any big 10 team.  

NCAA Football: Not really a follower of a particular team, but I pull for whoever is playing Notre Dame.  

NHL: I hang my head in shame when I admit it, but yes, its the Blackhawks.
