why can't he ever just get a simple save?

why does he always have to make it so stressful?

Maybe I should change my name to "The Brendan Harris"

I SO need a still shot of that catch for my new avatar!!!!!

LOL we're all so happy JP got the win that we're forgetting what a truly pathetic victory this was from an offensive standpoint

I won't lie...I was certain we were screwed.  Looked like a classic bloop single to score the tying run.

Thank you Brendan Harris.

Anyone else see Bowden in the dugout?  Pretty amusing, actually.

Yes...we all have to realize if it hadn't been for Harris' snag Cordero blew yet another save.

Yes...we all have to realize that in all actuality Cordero blew yet another save.

Yeah.  I wonder if there's any way they can credit a save to a second baseman?  :P

I'm sure we'll be the butt of several jokes on ESPN later.

The desperosity is humorous

As is your creation of the word "desperosity" ;)

You have a point about Nationals hitting though :(

It's called poetic license..read about it, lol!!!

I'm not going to celebrate today's game. The one positive was that Big Nasty is still got it. However, our offense was woeful, our only scores were mere luck.

well today's game was such a nail bitter, if Soriano AND Harris aren't in both Top 10 Plays AND Baseball Tonight's Web Gems. I'm going to sue ESPN. Freakin' awesome plays but yea it is true this game was all luck AND it was the Marlins. Do we have Patterson locked up because if he is a free agent after this year I highly doubt he stays, hell I know i wouldn't

No TV coverage here, so going on what I heard and read

Alas, a victory!!

Even if its ugly, a win is a win. Dont get down on this one because they knocked the ball around quite a bit on the D-Train last night.

The final score Florida Marlins 1, John Patterson 2.

He was just pumping his fist up and down and shouting like a happy little kid.  Honestly, it was sorta cute.

Bodes has got to go, don't get me wrong, but I don't really hate him.  He's a likable enough fellow.  And given how much I pissed all over the Wilkerson-for-Soriano trade when it went down, and how dire things looked during the 2B/OF standoff, it would be churlish of me not to admit that thus far Bowden's come out of that trade smelling like roses: Soriano is vastly outperforming Wilky (who is struggling mightily even in the hitter-friendly park of the Rangers, and leads the majors in Ks), and has done a creditable job in LF.  He's surely no worse than Preston "Where'd My Hat Go?" Wilson in the field.
