According to Expos pitching coach Randy St. Claire, Livan Hernandez throws four pitches, or five if you count both of the fastballs he throws: "Fastball, curveball, slider, change-up. And he throws both fastballs, two-seamer and four-seamer. He throws the two-seam fastball in the 87 to 89 (mph) range, and the four-seamer 88 to 91, or 92 at times. Basically, he pitches in the upper eighties."
