So far, they've still out-hit the division leading Mets. I'd rather see them win, but compared to the putrid play we've seen over the first two weeks...
Unfortunately you do not get a win for out-hitting your opponent.  That is a concept this team fails to understand.

My bad. I haven't looked at the standings in a couple of days. It's been too depressing.

The Braves are leading the division by a game over the Mets.  Of course, we all know who helped the Braves get that lead :?

Nice job Colome and the rest of the pitching staff.  Giving up only 3 runs against one of the best lineups in baseball should be a guaranteed win.   Only the Nats..

It is so damn embarrassing how bad our offense is.  25 runs in 11 games (2.27 runs per game).

Go hide your head in the sand then and let us try and enjoy some baseball then.

Yes...it certainly does, they stayed in the game versus one of the best...if not the best lineup in the NL.

This game might as well have been a blowout loss, same thing in the standings.  It doesn't matter how good our pitching is, our offense is one of the worst in MLB history.   :'(

Tough loss tonight but there is promise here.  Against that lineup everyone thought they would be slaughtered.  They weren't.  Patterson put on a good show and the offense showed signs of coming out of slumber.

Tough loss but positive.

It's looking good!  Bummed about a loss, was hoping for a little streak action w/ a curly W.  But I'll take the positives, we weren't totally shut out and sent home, we got some good hits, had some good fielding and JP did a really good job!

I don't think he is of legal age for beer yet.  But we are PREPARING him for it!

Willis is sitting on an 11-3 lead for Florida over Atlanta.  I just traded Willis to NOTLD for Yankee Damon.  Working out for both of us so far.

Yep and if Hill has continued to improve, we should be able to give'em hell next game too.  That "potent lineup" was a potent as a 98 year old man in the Bea Arthur Museum.

Maybe we should call up some guys from AA Harrisburg.  They scored 16 runs on 22 hits tonight against the Erie SeaWolves. Josh Whitesell went 5/5 with 2 doubles, HR, 3 runs, 5 RBIs.   I'm sure some of those guys could hit a hell of a lot better than some of the players on the Big League team.  We had Pelfrey right where we wanted him yet we continuously let him off the hook.  Queue Dennis Green tirade.

Yeah, there was a reason for that:  its called they are playing in AA ball.

We left 14 on base.  Was it 2 or 3 times that we left the bases loaded?  We need to give serious thought to having Zimmerman bat 7th or 8th and moving Church much further up.
