Very. I'd call it a tie just because the tag wasn't clean.

Can't find a good angle of it.  Neither MASN or the Braves broadcast had more than that high angle behind the plate or the one from center field.  couldn't really tell from either one.

1st can-o-corn call of the season for Bob?

I've heard that phrase over the many years and I still don't know what the hell it means.   Can somebody help me out?

DYK: Can of Corn comes from old time shopkeepers knocking Cans of Corn off the shelf with broom and catching with their apron.

Coming out of an offseason where you heard so many conflicting goals, few of them realized, it's hard to be a believer. I mean, what is the approach exactly? Maybe Sunshine Boswell had it right (from Rizzo's mouth). It does seem like they are driving up pitch counts, trying to get to the pen, then maybe counting on a couple of long balls a game.

And... Lannan is getting hit pretty hard.

Just seems like a lot of hypocrisy around here to me.  It's okay to gush over the defense or Werth's bat, but it's absolutely taboo to point out that the defense is all that's (barely) keeping the pitcher in the game, or that nobody other than Dunn-replacement can put a ball into the outfield against a shaky pitcher.  You also get labeled a panic-mongering doomsayer for being concerned about the team's holes

Lannan has ben Livanesque with runners on base today.  It'd be nice if he can keep it up for 3 more innings.

This isn't true, but I assume you mean for a hit.

Yes, but credit to you for at least being able to reach that conclusion.

I meant that sincerely, but my apologies to JMU if it came off wrong.  A lot of people seem to read posts 100% literally and without context.

I know you did towards JMU but it's what it implies about others that made me laugh. You're kicking ass today!

Too bad we couldn't have gotten five innings in.
