3.5 era - how many number 5s are better?
He wouldn't sustain that as a SP.

You can't give up 5 runs when you are facing David Price. Unacceptable.

Wang is going to put the offense in a hole and tax the bullpen. Clearly #5 material.

Oh man this is so much harder to watch than last game he was in against the Jays. Warm up faster, Det.

#5 material? He should not even be on a AAA roster. I don't care if he won 19 games in 2007, Soriano had a 40-40 season in 2006 and yet I wouldn't want him close to DC.

This pitching performance is way below par for a starting pitcher.  He needs to go.

3.88 as a starter this year

He's just not a Major League caliber pitcher. Rizzo is delusional to keep him in the rotation and to expect better results. In every start he has done very poorly with regards to giving up walks/baserunners.

I know Rizzo invested a lot in him and his rehab but it's time to cut bait.

He'd be closer to 4.25-4.50 I think as a full time SP unless he pitched like he did at the beginning of the season again.

Lannan should be our #5 starter. He had a sub 4 ERA last year and for the past 2 years. Lots of pitchers don't do well at AAA and yet come back to the majors and do well. No reason not to try him over this darn loser.

That's still decent for a #5.

What would you suggest? Wang isn't the answer either. (Not trying to be mean/sarcastic or anything, just wonder what the alternatives are for you).
