Nice to see Pena getting a shot at batting clean-up

and now he throws the ball into the outfield.. Redding is so damn bad.  Mets are playing like absolute crap but I'm sure they'll easily sweep us.

This one's going to be over quickly tonight.  The Nats must want us to be able to switch over to MNF without having to worry about the outcome of this game.

and yet another base hit.. I was going to keep a tab on the Nats game during the Skins game but with this type of play, forget it.

0-2 count HR.. talk about completely freaking laying down.  Mets just got swept yesterday and they are coming here from Philly.  We are supposed to be the team that is amped up and kicking ass.  What an easy sweep for the Mets.

Didn't even think an 0-2 homerun was possible...

and another hit.. I would rather watch Bacsik pitch than this piece of trash.  Can't wait till next year when Hanrahan, Redding, and Bacsik are all long gone.

With WMP strikeout propensity, I wouldn't have him hit cleanup.

Church must be going crazy watching Logan, Fick playing and he is sitting on the bench.  Why play Logan when Church and Maxwell are better candidates for playing CF in the future.  Logan had a chance to show his stuff this year and he is mediocre at best.  Also why not play Langerhans or Batista at first.  Haven't we seen enough of Fick this year(I know he hit a HR on Sat. but really)

Zimmerman has to be ashamed of himself striking out against Lawrence!

Well it looks like we are in for another shutout.  No excuse for getting owned by Brian Lawrence

I really hope we put up some numbers against Lawrence...  it would be embarassing to let him have a good night even if his ERA *wasn't* 6+

damn Redding looks "great"..  What a freaking bum.  Whenever we see the Mets/Phillies/Braves uniforms we just roll over and play like a bunch of cowards.

lmao, they can't even do a run down properly

Ryan should have tackled him like he did in that other rundown.

I would not put Redding in that category.  He has had 10 solid outings out of 12 and an ERA 3.42 starting the game.  He also throws a rising fastball at 92-93.  This start he is coming back from a bruised elbow so I would expect some rustiness.  He has good stuff and I hope they sign him for a couple of years at least.
Hanrahan is another story.  He does not have the mental discipline right now to pitch in the majors.  He does have great stuff and is a rookie so I would not give up on him.  Bascik is at best a spot starter but has done a great job in relief so I see a role in the bullpen for him next year possibly.

Redding started hot but he has quickly fizzled out.
Last 3 starts: 11.1 IP 10 R 10 ER 2 HR 12 BB 4 SO (0-1, 7.94 ERA)

He walks way too many batters and leaves way too many pitches over the plate.

Kearns strikes out on an 84 MPH fastball and Belliard is swinging for the fences again

Fick overmatched on a couple of BP fastballs.. It's like we have no idea what kind of pitcher Lawrence is.  They are expecting him to throw 95 mph with a 12-6 curveball
