Guzman is out with an injury for at least the next 2 days.  :?

Quote
Shortstop Cristian Guzman is out tonight. When batting against Giants closer Brian Wilson in San Francisco last series, a pitch hit Guzman in the thumb. Since then, he's had a little discomfort, and today, he decided it had become too much to play through. The team took an X-ray earlier today, but the Los Angeles team doctor hasn't yet been able to take a look at it, trainer Lee Kuntz told me. We'll know more about Guzman's status later tonight -- perhaps.

But for now, the team is going to hold Guzman out for the rest of this series, giving him two full days off and then the Monday off day. Manny Acta called Guzman day-to-day.

He is getting paid for the next two years. He sealed his deal. Now he can kick it like the rest of these guys.

I updated the lineups to reflect Belliard starting in place of Guzman.  Lopez goes to SS, Belliard to 2nd.

Bonfacio has another beastly night in Columbus: 2/3 Double, 4 Runs, 2 Walks, SB.

So far in 3 games he's 7/12 (.583) with 3 Walks, 1 K, and 2 SBs.

Reading the game log, it's like "Bonifacio singles on ground ball to third baseman." "Bonifacio doubles on ground ball to left fielder." Kids got some wheels.

So lame. Oh well, this helps our chances for the #1 pick. Maybe that's what Bowden and Acta are doing intentionally by keeping scrubs like Perez on the roster.

Holy crap, Vin Scully's losing it...

"Martin lines it...past the diving Casey Blake and into the left field corner!"

haha. We master the art of losing games in the first inning. We've only scored 9 runs all week and we'll need at least that much tonight to have a chance.

We probably won't score a run all night; everyone knows the game's probably over, unless someone hits a liner up the middle that breaks Lowe's nose.

Nice little shot dealt by Knight on Harris and our hitters. He has no idea why Harris has not told our hitters to move in the box to to have a better chance of hitting the ball before it sinks even more.
